Sage

The use of sage dates to ancient times, for spiritual cleansing, addressing snakebites, and promoting female fertility; however, it is still renowned to this day for its medicinal benefits and culinary uses.  It has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-bacterial properties, many nutrients, and a variety of uses.  Sage is used as a spice, tea, infusion, pressed oil, essential oil, tincture, and incense. 

Sage is used to treat involuntary nervous excitement that tends to accompany many nervous disorders.  It us used to treat the delirium associated with fevers, as well.  It is used as a stimulant, tonic, and for improving memory functions. 

It Is indicated for helping to reduce muscle tension and relieving indigestion.  Its anti-bacterial properties are especially effective for the mouth.  It is possible that sage may help to reduce menopausal symptoms in women.
