Acerola

A type of small tree or shrub, that is renowned for its health benefits and high amounts of vitamins and minerals. It originated in South and Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The fruits are high in vitamin C, A, B complex, as well as magnesium, protein, fiber, and fatty acids, providing a fine balance.

Acerola is typically eaten for its vitamin c, sometimes to treat scurvy, caused by vitamin c deficiency.
