eyebright

Eyebright

Commonly found in North America, Europe, and Asia, Eyebright is used for reducing eye redness and irritation.  It may also aide in soothing conjunctivitis and blepharitis. Eyebright likely hinder the development of certain harmful strains of bacteria that infect the eyes.

Eyebright is sometimes used in a smoking or vapor form as a treatment for respiratory ailments.  Tests have suggested that it may help reduce blood pressure and protect the liver as well.  It is possible that it reduces skin damage cased by the sun.
