evening primrose

Evening Primrose

Native to North America, the Evening Primrose is an anti-septic and anti-inflammatory. Topically, it is used to treat bruises, hemorrhoids, acne, eczema, and various other skin ailments.  Much of its healing properties are attributed to the high levels of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an omega-6 fatty acids present in the evening primrose.

The Evening Primrose is believed to help treat PMS symptoms.  These may include depression, irritability, and bloating.
